Changingways & Life Skills Philosophy -
6 Week Program
Goals, dreams, leisure, life;
attaining them requires organization, encouragement and motivation.
Where there's a will, there's a way!
I won't lie to you or try to sell you on coaching. I found Life Skills and Mentoring to be very effective in my healing journey of the Eating Disorder Bulimia. It was a long journey; frustrating and often difficult. The rewards however, are a much larger payoff.
The "kick in the butt" of coaching helped me see the choices I was making and why: What was healthy and what wasn't, Who my poor decisions were hurting, Where I was headed versus Where I wanted to go and How and When I was going to get there!
Welcome to the
Life Skills
and ChangingWays
program. This is a 6 week program that I have used actively
in my life, comprised of lessons and information I have learned, gathered and used
in the process of my own healing journey. I have found that these
lessons when used appropriately can “jump start” your brain
into thinking about thinking.
The idea isn’t to use the lessons to “fix” your issues and problems; it's to give you some tools to aid you in the journey to recovery and self discovery.
To get the full benefit of what the program has to offer, it is beneficial to participate in every exercise and do each week completely before moving on. You will be able to interact with me via email if you have questions about the assignments. This will also allow me to offer you feedback to questions you might have. Finding your vision is a personal and exciting undertaking. It requires discipline and perseverance to let go of old rules that you may be holding on to and deciding what you may be able to eliminate. Now acknowledge yourself for what you have already done towards your vision and let’s move on!
I am offering a 6week program via e-mail with the goal of helping participants from a wide variety of backgrounds to define and attain their personal goals and to cope more effectively with problems and challenges at their own pace.
ChangingWays is about... Changing ways of thinking, ways of behaving and the way you feel.
My Changing Ways Program Outline is new, revised, and worth it!

The triangle is central to the Changeways Philosophy as is the knowledge that behavior and thoughts are easier to change then emotions. The goals of the program grow out of this understanding of the vital role of goal oriented action in the maintenance of peak mental effectiveness. (this means that goal action works best with positive thinking.)
Goal #1: Learn to set and attain personal goals
Hoping for a change in one’s life does not bring about change. It is important to set concrete goals for yourself so that you know what you are working toward.
Goal # 2: Become a better communicator
Setting goals is not enough. For goals to be effective they must be acted upon. Anticipating and dealing with difficulties before they worsen can have remarkable effects on confidence and mood.
Goal # 3: Learn about yourself and your state of mind
By learning about stress you learn the relationship stress has to choices you make, and how you make those choices. Knowing your values can help you stay on track.
Goal # 4: Dealing with Emotions
Most people have certain automatic thoughts which are unrealistic, distorted, or focus too much on the negative. To assume is to make an “Ass out of u and me”. It is possible to become aware of these thoughts and alter them.
Goal # 5: Finding Balance
Everyone has periods of anxiety, depressed mood, relationship issues or dissatisfaction, and for some, this can take on a different direction. Learning to accept and deal with difficult phases can help prevent them from continuing and getting worse.
Goal # 6: Taking Care of you:
One of the most important things you can do is take care of yourself. If you do not take time for yourself, then who will? Leisure and cultivating social skills can help one feel more balanced.
